Similar to our roles for the NSW facilities, our accredited Contaminated Land Auditors have been engaged by the Department of Defence since 2017 to provide Technical Advisor services supporting the investigation, management and remediation of PFAS for multiple Western Australian Defence facilities, including Gingin Satellite Airfield, HMAS Stirling, Naval Communication Station Harold E Holt Area A & B and RAAF Base Learmonth. Our role as Technical Advisor has been to investigate, manage and remediate works undertaken under the PMAPs for each facility in accordance with relevant state-based and national guidance. We also identified value-for-money efficiencies for Defence where alternative approaches could be adopted to achieve the necessary objectives and management and remedial outcomes.
