Lyon Group contracted the environmental impact assessment team from JBS&G, a Geosyntec Company, to obtain fast-track approvals for two solar and storage projects in South Australia and Victoria, including a 330-megawatt solar farm and 100-megawatt/400-megawatt-per-hour battery energy storage system near Morgan and a 250-megawatt solar farm and a 80-megawatt/320-megawatt-per-hour battery energy storage system at Nowingi.
Our scope included all primary development approvals and planning permits for the project, liaising with relevant government institutions and referral authorities in each state, supporting community engagement activities, and managing numerous technical studies, including noise, traffic, ecology, and heritage. We prepared comprehensive environmental impact assessments and, with the benefit of our presence and experience in both states, achieved efficient and timely approvals.
