Contaminated Land Management, PFAS Investigation, Management, and Remediation

Outcome

We were engaged as the lead consultant to assess the nature and extent of PFAS impacts related to the historical storage and use of fluorinated firefighting foams at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Williams, consisting of RAAF Williams, Laverton, and RAAF Base Point Cook, and at HMAS Cerberus. For RAAF Williams, the work has included implementation of a PFAS management area plan, human health and ecological risk assessment, stakeholder and regulator engagement, and PFAS mass flux assessment for future remediation planning. Implementation of the ongoing monitoring program (annual/biannual frequency) has been completed on a routine basis across all three bases.
