Internal and External Hazardous and Contaminated Building Material Assessments

Outcome

We completed internal and external hazardous and contaminated building material assessments across a number of structures proposed for demolition at the Thales-operated Mulwala Propellant and High Explosives Facility. We identified a broad range of contaminants associated with the variety of individual building uses, including chemical and explosives manufacturing and storage. After classifying building materials, we were engaged to complete underlying soil assessments, assess residual contamination, and provide advice regarding suitable management and remedial measures to address contamination risks.
