Outcome
We provided dewatering and contaminated water treatment services to Sikorsky Australia at HMAS Albatross in Yerriyong, New South Wales. The deluge tank beneath a helipad area at the site required repair, but was full of highly PFAS-impacted water. To facilitate these repairs, water was extracted from the tank and treated through one of our temporary treatment plants prior to discharge to sewer under a Trade Waste Agreement. The project was carried out at the height of the 2019-20 bushfires in New South Wales. Nevertheless, the project was completed on budget and on time, with no impact on Sikorsky operations, including emergency response scenarios.
