Heavy Metals Treatment

JBS&G, a Geosyntec Company, helped design and maintain 24-hour-a-day operation of groundwater and stormwater heavy-metals treatment plants to manage heavy-metals-impacted groundwater dewatered from the infall and outfall tunnelling operations. The suspended solids, heavy metals, and hydrocarbon filtration systems were located on- and offshore and included the treatment of up to 60 litres per second of impacted water for either marine discharge or aquifer reinjection. The plant was equipped with real-time remote monitoring.
