Environmental Assessment Report Preparation

Outcome

We prepared Environmental Assessment Reports to support environmental approvals for site upgrades across seven Defence High Frequency Communications Systems sites in Queensland, the Northern Territory, Western Australia and New South Wales. The reports were required to identify whether the works were likely to result in a significant impact on the environment and, in particular, to address matters of national environmental significance protected under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). The Environmental Assessment Reports ultimately helped Babcock identify where there was potential for environmental harm as a result of the project activities and, based on the mitigation measures we developed, facilitated successful approvals for each of the upgrades.
