JBS&G, a Geosyntec Company, was engaged by a confidential client to conduct a HAZMAT assessment relating to a chemical manufacturing plant located in central Queensland. The area comprised several large storage warehouses, silos, manufacturing plants and pipes, administration offices, storage structures, shipping containers, and a residential property. The project involved a comprehensive pre-demolition HAZMAT assessment of site structures. Based on the potential explosive nature of the former chemicals processed at the site and the dilapidated state of several structures, consideration of safety was of the utmost importance during the assessment.
