Outcome

We completed a PFAS-focused Preliminary Site Investigation followed by a Detailed Site Investigation from 2019 to 2020 for the BAE Henderson Shipyard. This project included landside and marine-based investigations. These works led to the preparation of an Integrated Site Management Plan, which resulted in the successful reclassification of the site from Possibly Contaminated–Investigation Required to Remediated for Restricted Use under the WA Contaminated Sites Act 2003. Since then, we have continued to support BAE in meeting its environmental commitments under the Integrated Site Management Plan, including quarterly monitoring programs.
