B.Eng Civil (Hons), Leis is a Senior Civil Engineer with more than 12 years of experience gained during his project management and design involvement across mining, coal seam gas (CSG), and government infrastructure projects. He is Senior Services Director for our Queensland 1 Operations.
Leis has a well-rounded knowledge of the study, design, and project delivery life cycle through his various roles in design, contractor, and client teams. This broad exposure provides him with a unique insight and appreciation of stakeholder needs and requirements, as well as underlying risks and opportunities.
Recently, Leis has delivered a detailed design package to support the continuation of mining operations at a remote site. Prior to this, he undertook a secondment role as a project lead in a client team delivering capital improvement works for a major mining company. Both roles required the effective management of stakeholders, as well as the ability to adapt to evolving scope requirements and financial constraints, in order to deliver the expected outcomes.
