Reconciliation Action Plan
Honouring Commitment, Enabling Action, and Fostering Inclusion
Geosyntec Consultants acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work and live throughout Australia, and we recognise their continuing connection to lands, waters, and communities.
In recognising this enduring cultural heritage and our responsibility to contribute positively to the communities in which we operate, we have embarked on a reconciliation journey to strengthen relationships and create meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan
Geosyntec’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) reflects our belief that learning is a lifelong journey, and that to innovate effectively, we must deepen our understanding of, and engagement with, the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
For us, a RAP represents a commitment to tangible action to make positive, lasting impact and foster a more equitable future for all.
Our RAP will be embedded within our workplace practices, systems, and culture. Our approach includes ongoing, meaningful education opportunities, community action, and integration with our health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) systems. A key element is making sure our RAP and its actions are visible to all.
Our Ongoing Journey
Geosyntec’s reconciliation journey is guided by practical actions that support meaningful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and businesses.
This work involves partnering with Indigenous-owned enterprises for services including PPE and merchandise procurement, traffic management, geotechnical investigations, and equipment maintenance, while creating opportunities for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses through training in flora sampling and mine rehabilitation monitoring.
Our commitment extends to STEM outreach programs for underrepresented students, cultural learning experiences for staff such as the Barangaroo and Koorie Heritage Trust tours, and the display of Indigenous artwork in our offices.
Internally, we continue to strengthen inclusive workplace practices through reviews of antidiscrimination policies and HR procedures, supported by a RAP Champion and a cross-functional RAP Working Group.
These are just some of the initiatives that support our ongoing commitment to listening, learning, and building relationships to advance reconciliation.
